Green

From the depths of the earth
Comes life, and holds death
Cradling existence in dirt
Held by an invisible force

From this dark rock plants have grown
They have sprouted leaves on their own
Making this cold space ball their home
Roots dig in the earth down to the bone

Vines stretch up and across these places
Weeds fill the grass's empty spaces
Flowers litter the earth, which she embraces
Pretty petaled perfection spread across her faces

The sounds of wind through leaves
The sight of tall sycamore trees
The light buzzing of the bees
True nature is easy to see

From the fish in the stream
To the sun that does beam
From the clouds full of dreams
To the water that does gleam

A cycle we travel that never ends
A deep connection between all friends
It can't be broken, and it can not bend
Connectivity of nature is the message it sends
